Engaged and Learning in Kinder!

Help me give my students activities that will support their learning and having fun while learning and other items that are needed to enhance our learning environment such as a class set of headphones and privacy partitions.

My Students

I teach kindergarten students, ages 5 and 6, where the majority come from low-income families. My students are super smart, focused, and have a love for learning. As their teacher, I want to provide the very best kindergarten learning experience for them.

My Project

A class set of headphones will benefit the students when they are using their iPads to do activities such as reading books on Epic and playing learning games on apps such as Splash Learn and IXL. They will also be useful for when we are doing testing on our iPads. The privacy partitions will also be very helpful for when we are doing assessments in the class. I have been improvising with using folders but they tend to fall over so they are not very effective.

I would also like to add a beanbag chair to our calming corner for when students need to take a break to calm their self when they may be feeling upset or overwhelmed, this can give them a level of comfort in this area.

I also would like to get more hands-on literacy centers that the students can be engaged in and have fun with!
