Engage Students in Learning With Project Based Activities.
Help me give my students engaging project-based learning projects. Incorporating art into cooperative reading and writing activities allows students to represent their learning in a variety of ways.
My students are a curious and enthusiastic bunch! They absolutely love hands-on, project-based, engaging activities and projects. The children come to school each day ready to learn and try new things. Our classroom is a multicultural environment; therefore, the ways in which my students learn best varies greatly. It is integral that I employ a variety of techniques and strategies to support their individual needs. Regularly utilizing cooperative learning activities and providing opportunities for my students to show what they know in multiple ways is an important component in our daily routine. Additionally, having access to high interest reading materials with appealing visuals (i.e. real photographs, diagrams, drawings, and maps) maximizes student comprehension.
My Project
The books that I hope to acquire will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind and have the necessary text features to support my second language learners.
The art components of this order ensures that students are engaged in the learning process.
Additionally, the paints and crafts supplies are extremely motivating and compliment the written responses involved in the process.
