Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My scholars have a very rigorous day before lunch. I have noticed how they lose momentum as the day progresses. They need a serious boost of energy. I think snacks would be a good way to help them stay focused at school and on homework, give them needed nutrients, and keep hunger at bay.

When timed correctly, snacks can help kids get the energy and nutrients they need.

Studies show that kids around this age need to eat at least one snack per day. They may even need two if they are going through a growth spurt or if they are very active. I would also like to provide a farewell care package to give to my students with their 5th grade promotion certificates. Items in this project will be included in that package.
