This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The ability to enjoy a small snack and gain a bit of energy during the school day despite working full time is essential to helping my students graduate.

Sometimes my students work until 1 or 2 am, sleep for a few hours, and then come to school a little late after we serve breakfast.

As a result, they are very hungry and have trouble focusing. Being able to offer them an energy bar to help them make it through the day helps them a lot!

My students are mostly 18 and up. It will help them and their entire families if they can graduate from high school. Adding this support of offering classroom snacks is a huge help to them.
