My Students

"Can't never tried" is something my students hear me say when they tell me they can't do something. We often say we can't do something before we even try. I teach my students to try before they tell me they do not understand. My students are a class full of character. They are animated and full of imagination. They are constantly coming up with ways to remember what I teach them. They know how to make me smile or just down right giggle with laughter.

My Project

I work in a Title I school, which means more than 75% of the students are on free or reduced-price lunch.

It is so important for students to have a full belly and to feel clean to help them learn.

In my classroom, we have no soap dispenser so hand soap is important for us to clean our hands after bathroom visits, crafts, or coming in from recess. Our room also smells funny unless we have air fresheners. Air Fresheners will help with the stinky smell in our classroom. Something new this year is my class eats lunch at 10:15. It is extremely early in the day that my students are starving by 1. Nutritious snacks would be extremely helpful for us to get through our afternoon instruction.
