Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Energetic learners need fuel for their brains. My fourth- and fifth-grade students give their best every day, but many start the morning without a nutritious snack. With your help, our classroom will be stocked with Pop-Tarts, cereal bars, Cheez-It crackers, Goldfish crackers, and beef jerky. These snacks will provide quick energy and help students stay focused during lessons. Having a variety of options means students with different tastes can find something they enjoy. The snacks will also be used as incentives during reading and math practice. Most of my students come from low-income households, so they often rely on school for meals. A consistent snack supply will support both their academic performance and their well-being. This project will ensure that hunger never stands in the way of learning.
