Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious, resilient, and eager to improve my 5th-grade students are. They show up to tutoring ready to learn—even after a full school day—because they truly want to succeed. They support each other, celebrate small wins, and never give up when things get challenging. Their determination inspires me every day.

Each resource in this project will help them learn in meaningful ways:

• School Supplies: These fabric bins, chair pockets, magnetic storage pockets, and other materials will give students the tools they need to practice skills, stay organized, take notes, and engage in hands-on learning during tutoring sessions.

• Snacks & Reusable Water Bottles (individually wrapped snacks): Tutoring requires focus, and snacks will help keep students energized, comfortable, and ready to think, turning our sessions into a safe and positive learning experience.

• Rewards & Incentives (stickers, pencil toppers): These will motivate students to set goals, participate actively, and feel proud of their progress. Positive reinforcement makes learning exciting and helps students build confidence.

My students deserve a space where they feel supported, encouraged, and ready to grow, and these resources will make that possible. Thank you for helping them learn, stay fueled, and believe in themselves!
