My Project

While this year is wrapping up it is already time to start thinking forward to next year. I do love thinking about the newness and freshness that each school year brings. And the end of the school year is a good time to reassess what items need to be replenished and what new items can be added to change the area.

A dash of color for newsletters, fun classroom incentives, a new instrument, and some new decor that will add some pizzazz and help learn musical concepts; these will all be helpful for next year.

I love using bright colors for classroom notes. The students automatically recognize the note is from music and will (hopefully) share with their parents. I've also converted all my classroom incentives to erasers and stickers. This takes up hardly any space and my students love getting these little tokens of appreciation. All ages love them too!

My classroom needs a little more pizzazz. I have some huge empty walls and they need to be loved. The Broadway musical posters and the styles of music posters will not only make the room look nice but give students something to focus on while they are lining up. It will give them something to talk about that is music related. Lastly, we need a new big rainstick! Our current one is being held together buy lots and lots of duct tape. Having such a tall one is so fun for the students to play! They love it when the instruments are as big as them!
