This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The last weeks of school are a time to create memories with our class before sending them off to 3rd grade! My students will have just finished working hard on their end of year test and will want to end the year on a fun note! This is a fun time to bring in memorable learning experiences and projects to keep the students engaged and learning.
Each day will have a theme with activities that will keep the students exploring and having fun together.
There are science experiments, writing activities, outdoor explorations, art projects and STEM challenges that the students will be involved in. Some fun things they will be doing are writing how-to make lemonade and enjoying some themselves, playing LEGO challenge games, learning about the types of clouds and making solar ovens that will make s'mores! I want them to leave 2nd grade remembering the fun times we had together and how much they learned this year. These celebration days will be a great way to end our school year with a bang!
