End of Year Testing Can Be All Fun and Games!

Help me give my students the opportunity to develop their critical and creative thinking while preparing for End of Course testing using board games and snacks. While at the same time building friendships and social skills.

My Project

Games can be an engaging change in educational tools. Games provide a welcome break from traditional learning, but offer valuable opportunities for social interactions, cognitive development and skill-building. I hope to substitute review questions and terms for the end of course exam into game playing.

Teaching students with disabilities comes with its unique set of challenges.

Finding ways to use repetitive drill while keeping them engaged. I think that incorporating snacks as incentives, I will be able to have a more focused review of information to be tested on end of year exams. I am the special education teacher for high school students. I support students with various learning disabilities ranging from autism, cognitive disabilities, specific learning disabilities and speech impaired learning disabilities.
