My Project

Imagine the excitement and surprise, walking into a classroom filled with music, black lights and glow sticks. My students share that excitement and joy each time we do room transformations. I LOVE when my kids walk into our classroom transformation unexpectedly and their eyes light up! They're immediately engaged in what we are learning. I love my students so much and I am sad that this year is coming to an end. They are the sweetest, most lovable class and I really want to show them how much I have enjoyed being their teacher this year.

I would absolutely love to transform my classroom into a one of a kind Glow-In-The-Dark Party like no one has ever seen!

Kids just need to be kids and have fun. The stress of testing and schoolwork will be over at this point, and they will be able to cut loose and enjoy their time with their classmates. I want to have the room glowing with fun math and reading centers and games. I want them to dance and sing in their hats and glow bracelets until they can dance no more. It will be a time of celebration because they have learned so much and worked so hard. I am proud to be their teacher and I can't wait to finish off the year in style! They will be "Glowing" on to first grade!

Working at a low income high risk and high needs school comes with it's benefits and challenges. We are blessed with a culturally diverse student body. Due to our title one and "0" star status school we are eligible for summer programs that will benefit all students including special needs kids too!
