Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Throughout the school year, we explored a wide range of books and authors, but one collection that brought endless laughter and inspired lots of predictions was Lucille Colandro's "There Was an Old Lady" series. I want my students to always remember how much fun reading can be, along with the great memories we made in first grade.

To keep the fun going, I'm planning to give each student a book from this collection, along with a bottle of bubbles, as an end of year gift.

I'll pack these items in brightly colored bags, creating a cheerful send off that will remind them of our first grade adventures. This way, they'll have something to smile about and enjoy over the summer while cherishing the joy of reading.
