The Jelly Blox (squishy LEGO blocks) arrived just in time for LEGO week at the end of January. Initially I'd bought the blocks for my kindergarten students but they were such a big hit, that all the grades have asked to play with them. \r\n\r\nThe furniture socks have been a game changer. I previously used colored tennis balls on the bottom of all the chairs in the Library to reduce the sound, protect our new floors and add some pops of color. They worked for a time but eventually the tennis balls started to come off and roll all around the Library causing multiple distractions and disarray. These sleek little black socks on each chair give a clean, unified look while serving an important function, and they stay put!!\r\n\r\nAnother big hit were the Busy Boards and Sensory books. I bought these with my kindergarten special ed class in mind, but again, students in all grades and classes were attracted to these interactive toys and enjoyed using them at choice time. \r\n\r\nAll the other items have been received well and will be loved for a long time. Thank you once again for your generosity in funding my project and equipping me with the resources I need to give my students incredible opportunities in Library.","fullyFundedDate":1768681694497,"projectUrl":"project/sensational-sensory-stem-supplies/9995985/","projectTitle":"Sensational Sensory & STEM Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simpson-Luna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2876606_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753101900844","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/simpson-luna"},{"teacherId":2876606,"projectId":9998927,"letterContent":"Words cannot truly capture the excitement of my students when they were introduced to our new robot friends. The squeals of joy and eagerness to get a turn were delightful. \r\n\r\nWe had a previous set of 4 Talebots but with the addition of 2 more each table of students can get their own robot to use. I no longer have to do rotations. Additionally, your funding allowed me to replace some mats that were well-worn from use and obtain new and different ones that I can use for even more lessons and activities. \r\n\r\nI was also able to upgrade and increase the number of Beebot robots, again, having one per table now, instead of just one station. And, they are rechargeable so no more replacing batteries before each use—quality of life upgrade! \r\n\r\nThank you for equipping my Library with these tools to introduce my 600 students to the world of Computer Science and Robotics.","fullyFundedDate":1768681553827,"projectUrl":"project/robot-r-us/9998927/","projectTitle":"Robot R Us!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simpson-Luna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2876606_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753101900844","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/simpson-luna"},{"teacherId":2876606,"projectId":10010585,"letterContent":"We had such a wonderful Super Bowl-themed Read-In event thanks to your generosity. As you can see from the pics, I was able to transform that Library into a football stadium with the folding tables, tablecloths, turf squares and other football decor. Our 31 high school guest readers received goodie bags with water, snacks and a football pen and rubber duck. Parent and community guest readers got to choose enjoy some concessions and football reading swag before/after reading to students. Students had a fun-filled day of reading great stories with their friends and guest readers and seeing the football decor all around. Your generosity truly allowed me to create a fun and immersive educational experience for our school community. \r\n\r\nI am looking forward to utilizing the other items for future events like our Family Art Night coming up in 2 weeks where we will transform our cafeteria into and Art Studio.","fullyFundedDate":1768681635067,"projectUrl":"project/immersive-educational-experiences/10010585/","projectTitle":"Immersive Educational Experiences","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Simpson-Luna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2876606_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753101900844","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/simpson-luna"},{"teacherId":6972549,"projectId":9598301,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. Having books neatly sorted and easy to find helps students feel independent and confident when choosing what to read, which is especially important for growing readers.\r\n\r\nThese book bins will be used every day during independent reading, small groups, and partner reading. My third graders are excited to explore new books, return them responsibly, and take pride in keeping our classroom library organized. For many of my students, this classroom library is their primary access to books, so your support truly makes a lasting difference in their learning and love of reading.\r\n\r\nYour kindness goes far beyond materials—it shows my students that people believe in them and care about their education. My students were so excited to meet the new robots and give them names. \r\n\r\nThe cooper robots are so cute and user-friendly. Students loved coding them using the arrow buttons on their heads to program them to move in a certain direction. The cool thing about these robots, that sets them apart from other arrow-coding bots is that they have a facial screen that changes expressions as the robots are moving. They also make sounds and can play music, making them more interactive than other tech toys. \r\n\r\nThe car set was also really cool and offered a nice challenge for students to complete. It involved building a track then using color-coded pieces to direct the car through the maze to pick up and drop off its load of marbles.
