My Project

At the end of the end of each school year I reflect on what went well within our classroom and take inventory of supplies that are running low. This school year I continued to implement and require Cornell Notes in my history class and this was a great success when paired with fun and accessible supplies. I am asking for gel pens to replace the ones we have used up throughout this school year. Colored paper has also been useful for printing important papers such as syllabi, field trip forms, and unit newsletters. This year I also gave out stickers when reviewing Warm up answers in class, and students really enjoyed the small reward.

Seeing resources and primary sources in color can really help make history come to life so I am asking for a colored printer and ink for my classroom.

We only have one within our school so having one in my classroom would be extremely helpful. The biggest request on the list is the carpet. I had a carpet in my classroom, but had to throw it away in the early weeks of Covid-19. This and the essential oils contribute to my hopes of creating a comfortable and safe learning environment for students. Being a history class, we also watch many speeches, documentaries, and short videos; the soundbar would replace the speakers on my projector.

I am also asking to replenish my Goldfish supply as teenagers are often in search of a snack along with Jolly Ranchers to be used during games and simulations.

Mrs. Vanlandingham will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 24.
