Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
It's crazy to believe, but the end of the schools year is quickly approaching. One of the things I love to do with my students every year is a balloon countdown until the last day. Each day a special treat is revealed.

Outdoor recess time is such a crucial time for students to get out energy and work on their social skills through interactions with peers. Currently, my students go outside to a black top with painted activities on the cement. The recess materials are nonexistent this year due to misuse, balls on roofs and lack of budget. I am requesting items that the students will be able to not only use in school the last two weeks but can use at home over the summer such as bubbles, balls, shovels and pails, jump-ropes etc... This would be a fun way to send the year out with a bang. Last but not least, I have requested some sweet treats such as pop rocks and ring pops because a last day of school sweet treat party would be a great way to send out the year.
