Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are diverse, resilient and simply amazing. They come from various backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our learning environment. Despite facing challenges, they demonstrate resilience and determination in achieving their goals. It has been inspiring to watch my student’s growth throughout the year, both academically and personally. I would love to provide my students with a celebratory end of the school year cookout. The grill and ice machine will be used as an incentive for students to finish out the year strong. This reward will also motivate my students to continue thriving to accomplish goals.

An end-of-year celebration will not only be a fun experience but also a learning opportunity.

By working together to prepare food, my students will learn important social skills that are not only essential in the kitchen but also in future endeavors. By engaging in cooking/grilling activities, my students will develop practical life skills that will serve them well beyond the school years.
