Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 2nd- and 3rd-grade special education students, and many are just beginning to enjoy reading books. I want to provide them with a particular area where they can go to discover new characters and adventures. A hammock and some cushions will make them light up.

My goal is for students to be excited about this new space in our classroom and want to read even more.

With a rotating bookshelf that will take up less space, my students can spread out and get cozy with a book.

My 25 students want to be able to read so badly. They love being read to, and when I tell them it's time to read. This reading oasis will make them want to read even more.
