My students live just North of Columbus in a very rural area. The area is low income with 46% of our students living in poverty. Despite most students being economically disadvantaged, they are great students to work with who have a positive outlook on life. My goal is to provide them with as many opportunities as I can and to help set them up to be successful adults. I can't wait to work with DonorsChoose.org to provide them with materials that will enrich their lives.
My Project
I have been an assistant high school baseball coach for the past 7 years and it is with great enthusiasm that I am now moving into the role as head baseball coach. As the new season is approaching it is becoming clear that we need some new equipment. We barely have enough baseballs to practice with so we are in desperate need of more. We will also need equipment to work on agility skills. Which is why I am requesting the training balls. I am also looking to repaint our fields foul pools as they are severely weathered. I know with the right equipment and the support of others I can make this baseball program a success and help show these student athletes how to be successful. I hope you will consider donating to our project.
