Help me give my students a library that encourages them to love reading and become better readers! My students don't have access to good children's or chapter books. Help give us books and a cozy place to read!
My class of second graders loves to read and learn! We practice a lot of growth mindset activities so they are also hard working, determined students.
Our school is Title 1 with many English Language Learners.
My students are friendly, kind, and very active! We love dancing between transitions, singing while we work, and playing games together at recess.
In my class, we have 4 ELLs, 5 homeless students, and 4 students receiving free food and clothing from our school.
My low-income students don't have access to good books that they love on a day-to-day basis nor cozy, comfortable places to read daily. This project will give my class, and classes to come, an encouraging environment to learn to read and to learn to love reading. Our classroom library doesn't have very many books, with a low variety for reading levels and our classroom doesn't have good places to read, besides our desks. This project will help fill our library and furnish our room with places to to read. A foundation for a love of reading happens young and you can help foster that in my students.
