My Project

Hello Future Donors,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of our dedicated students in grades K-3 at our school, where over 66% of them come from low-income households.

Our special education resource room is in need of an interactive whiteboard, aka Smart Board to enhance the learning experience and provide valuable opportunities for our young learners. Do you remember the feeling you would get when the teacher rolled in the TV cart in your elementary school classroom? I'll bet you felt super excited about learning! Help me give my students that feeling every day! According to a study by the Education Endowment Foundation in 2019, students who utilized digital tools for learning demonstrated an additional two months' progress compared to their counterparts (Education Endowment Foundation, 2019).

I am requesting donations for a 55" smartboard and stand for a couple of reasons, mainly:

1. Our students are currently either struggling to view my laptop screen during morning meeting, google slides, or when showing brief educational videos. Not only is this less than optimal for viewing purposes, it does not allow for an interactive learning experience. Having a smartboard would remedy not only their viewing experience but also allow students the opportunity to interact, making the learning process hands-on and engaging. Active participation would foster a deeper understanding of the curriculum. These elements of visual and kinesthetic learning cater to the diverse learning styles of my students. In turn, they will be able to grasp and retain information more effectively.

2. In addition to changing the things we currently do, we will be able to integrate many more multimedia resources, like educational videos, interactive games, and visually stimulating content. This dynamic learning environment will capture the attention of our students, increasing student participation.
