it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a health science teacher, my goal is to equip students with essential life-saving skills that they can carry with them throughout their lives. One of the most critical skills I can teach is cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
However, to provide hands-on, effective training, my classroom is in need of high-quality CPR dummies.
These dummies will allow students to practice and perfect their technique, ensuring they are prepared to respond confidently in real-life emergency situations.
My students are passionate about learning and eager to make a difference in their communities. They come from diverse backgrounds and have varying levels of exposure to health education. Many of them aspire to pursue careers in the health sciences, and acquiring CPR certification is a crucial step in their journey. By incorporating CPR training into our curriculum, I am not only meeting educational standards but also empowering these young individuals with the knowledge and skills to save lives.
Currently, our classroom lacks the proper equipment to provide effective CPR training. The CPR dummies we need are realistic, durable, and designed to simulate the experience of performing CPR on an actual person. With these dummies, students will be able to practice chest compressions, proper hand placement, and rescue breathing in a safe and controlled environment. This hands-on practice is invaluable for building the confidence and competence they will need if they ever find themselves in an emergency situation.
By funding this project, you will be directly contributing to the health and safety of our community. The CPR training my students receive will not only fulfill academic requirements but also prepare them to take action in critical moments. Imagine the difference it will make knowing that these young individuals are ready and able to respond in an emergency, potentially saving lives.
