My Students

Our school is located in a small, rural area. We are a Title I school and have a very diverse ethnic population. We also have a large EC (special education) population. Despite this, we believe that all children can learn, show growth and master skills.

Students come with different learning abilities, styles, and other external issues they are dealing with.

My students have been identified as students with special needs who have difficulties in reading, writing, math, and/or behavior/social/emotional issues. Instead of giving up on these students or simply passing them on, I would like to give them some tools to help them with whatever they are having difficulties with.

My Project

The donations provided will be accessible to students as well as general education teachers to empower those with disabilities to persevere to achieve their goals. Children learn at different speeds and in a variety of ways. Some need more support, either through the teaching of an adult or with resources and tools provided to them. Please help me give my students wobble cushions, a microphone, lap trays, bean bags, puzzles, wobble chairs, whisper phones, sight word boards, and other tools to address their sensory, organization and academic needs.

When we educate children, give them the resources they need and believe in them, we are empowering them to go after their dreams.

The materials and supplies for this project will give students who have difficulty in academics, organization, and/or behavior the resources they need to be successful.
