Empowering Multilingual Learners Through Technology
Help me give my students access to an Apple ipad & Magic Keyboard! I teach an incredible group of multilingual learners in a Title I high school, where 90% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.

My Project
What I love most about my multilingual learners is their resilience, curiosity, and global perspective. These students bring a richness of experience, language, and culture that transforms our classroom into a space of inclusion, empathy, and innovation. Many of my students are recent immigrants or first-generation Americans, and they inspire me daily with their dedication to learning English while also navigating a new country, culture, and education system.
iPad: The iPad will support real-time translation, immersive language apps, multimedia learning, and differentiated instruction.
My students will use it to access visual aids, interactive texts, audio support, and scaffolded content aligned to WIDA standards and English Language Development (ELD) frameworks. It is ideal for personalized learning and multisensory engagement, key components in ESOL instruction.
Apple Keyboard: This keyboard transforms the iPad into a full productivity tool, allowing students to type with ease during writing workshops, project-based learning, and collaborative assignments. For English learners building their writing skills, having a tactile, accessible keyboard supports language production, editing skills, and digital literacy. It also gives students the ability to practice academic writing in a professional format, preparing them for real-world communication.
Apple Pencil: The Apple Pencil enables students to annotate texts, draw mind maps, highlight key information, and engage with visual vocabulary strategies. This is especially powerful for visual learners and emergent bilinguals who benefit from non-linear, creative approaches to learning. It fosters active reading, interactive note-taking, and fine motor skill development—all critical for language processing and concept retention.
These resources work together to provide a dynamic, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. They will help bridge the digital divide for my high-need students while supporting their language acquisition, content mastery, and self-expression.
