This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students' passion and commitment to making a positive impact in the community. Their compassion and creativity shine through in everything they do. The resources I'm requesting—journals and stickers—will significantly enhance our community service project focused on supporting local LGBTQ+ youth.

Journals will provide a personal space for reflection, helping students process their thoughts and experiences as they engage in workshops and discussions.

Stickers will serve as a fun way to express support for LGBTQ+ issues, fostering conversations and promoting awareness at community events.

My goals are to empower students to lead initiatives that promote inclusivity and understanding, creating a safe environment for all youth. What makes my students special is their genuine commitment to social justice and their willingness to stand up for their peers. With these resources, they can channel their enthusiasm into meaningful action, positively affecting the lives of others in our community. Together, we can create a culture of acceptance and belonging that benefits everyone.
