Empowering Learners: Classroom Supplies for AP Physics
Help me give my students meter sticks and gas pressure sensors for AP Physics.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. York's STEM and Robotics Lab's classroom raised $815
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach AP Physics, Robotics, Computer Programming and Game Design, and AP Computer Science Principles. I serve a vast array of students with very diverse backgrounds. My classes provide them with real world skills that help prepare them for fields in engineering and computer science. Three of my classes are CTE classes (Career Technical Education), which prepare them for jobs in industry.
The materials in this project will meet a wide variety of needs for our students.
The meter sticks and sensors will be used to help prepare our AP Physics students for the AP Exam in May. The metersticks will be used throughout the year, especially for free fall labs. The gas pressure sensors will be used in our fluids unit when they have to track the changing pressures with respect to depth below the surface. This will give them hands on equipment in physics. Thank you for donating to this project!
