This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn, full of questions and love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside of the box to work cooperatively to solve problems.

Hard-working, ready to be challenged; my students deserve to have every opportunity to be comfortable and enjoy working together as they practice and solve various tasks.

Allowing my students to choose where to sit will help them to learn how to make good choices. Also, students are more comfortable speaking up when they're sitting near kids they like the most.

My Project

Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive. Students learn better when they have a chance to work together. Traditional desks in rows isolate students from each other. I'm requesting Emotion Floor Cushions, motion stools, Comfy Floor Seats, padded stools, and lap desks.

This flexible seating will allow students to easily pair up, work in small groups, or discuss as a whole class.

Changing the layout of my classroom can lead to more than just improved attention and focus. Students' learning will be deeply impacted.

In addition, students will understand the daily routine and take responsibility for their learning. The classroom will be more accessible for students, will increase student engagement, and be open to a variety of learning styles.
