it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello! We're launching an exciting initiative at our school called the Girls in STEAM program. Our goal is to empower our girls to explore and create in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
But here's the thing: 90% of our students come from families facing financial challenges.
That's why we need your support to kickstart this program.
With your help, we'll provide our girls with essential tools like a Cricut machine, a heat press, and a color printer. These tools will allow them to design with software and create personalized items like stickers, custom school t-shirts, pencil bags and more. We also need supplies such as vinyl for designs, sticker paper, and other materials to help our girls manage their projects and learn more about running their own business.
Here's the best part: our girls won't just be creating for themselves. They'll personalize items for other students at school, which they'll sell at a monthly Maker Market to other students, teachers, and parents. The money they make will go right back into the school. It'll fund improvements for the STEAM Lab, help create more STEAM programs, bring in speakers, and even help organize field trips for the girls to meet female entrepreneurs in STEAM fields.
By giving girls access to these tools, you're helping them learn technical skills, boosting their confidence, and empowering them to become future innovators and leaders in STEAM fields.
