This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The 2024-25 VEX IQ Competition "Rapid Relay" Full Game & Field Element Kit, will make a significant difference in our students' learning by providing them with hands-on experience in designing, building, and programming robots for a competitive setting. This kit includes field elements and game pieces specific to the "Rapid Relay" game, allowing students to simulate competition conditions and refine their strategies.

Enhancing STEM skills through robotics, students will improve their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, preparing them for future academic and career opportunities in these fields.

Moreover, fostering teamwork by engaging in collaboration and communication as they work together to design and build their robots, teaching them valuable teamwork skills. Encouraging creativity by providing a platform for students to design and innovate, the project will nurture their creativity and problem-solving abilities.

Also, building confidence in participating in robotics competitions will boost students' self-confidence as they see their hard work pay off in a competitive setting.

What makes our students special is their enthusiasm and dedication to learning. They are curious, creative, and eager to explore new ideas. They embrace challenges and demonstrate resilience in overcoming obstacles. They are a diverse group with unique talents and perspectives, making our classroom a vibrant and dynamic learning environment. However, they are new to the VEX IQ Competition and are one of the few teams that come from a low socio-economic status background with limited access to resources. This project is crucial in providing them with a chance to explore robotics and STEM fields, which they might not have had otherwise.
