Help me give my students a spirit day cart for our whole school! Students can take what they need to participate in special school events!

My Project

School spirit should be about unity, pride, and shared joy. However, for many students, "Spirit Week" can inadvertently become a source of stress rather than excitement. When the theme is "Color Day" or "Sock Day," and a student doesn't have items at home—and their family doesn't have the extra budget to buy them—that student often feels left out.

What is the Spirit Day Cart?

The Spirit Day Cart is a mobile "equity station" designed to ensure that every student has the opportunity to participate in school events, regardless of their financial circumstances. It’s not just a box of supplies; it’s a dedicated resource that will be rolled out into the hallways or cafeteria during special events.

The Cart will be stocked with: Theme Essentials and Creative Accessories

Why This Matters: The Impact on Students

This initiative goes far beyond just "playing dress-up." It directly supports our students in several key ways:

Promotes Inclusivity: By providing the materials, it levels the playing field so that a student’s participation is limited only by their imagination, not their bank account.

Boosts Social-Emotional Well-Being: The cart ensures every child feels like they belong to the "team."

Increases Engagement: When students feel connected to their school community, their attendance and engagement in the classroom improve.
