Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of our exceptional education students in our school need additional support to manage big emotions, sensory needs, and learning challenges. This project will create a structured, calming environment where all students can feel safe, focused, and ready to learn.

Flexible seating options like chair bands and wobble leg attachments will help students stay engaged and comfortable.

Sensory tools such as fidgets and calming materials will provide appropriate ways for students to self-regulate throughout the day. Social-emotional books will teach students how to understand their feelings, build relationships, and use coping strategies.

Academic support materials will ensure all learners can access instruction in meaningful ways. Together, these resources will help students grow both emotionally and academically, giving them the tools they need to succeed.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
