Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a high school special education teacher who also supports students in math classrooms. My students have a wide range of learning needs, and many benefit from hands-on materials, visual supports, and structured tools to help them access grade-level content.

The supplies requested will support not only my students, but also myself, my co-teacher, and our classroom aides as we work together to provide meaningful, individualized instruction.

These materials will allow us to better scaffold lessons, break down complex concepts, and provide students with the support they need to be successful both academically and socially. I love that my students are resilient, creative, and have their unique ways they experience the world. Each student brings their own strengths, personality, and perspective into the classroom, and it’s inspiring to see how they grow when given the right support and encouragement. These supplies will help creative a positive environment for my students.
