Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a remarkable group of high school students who explore the universe with curiosity, creativity, and determination. In my astronomy and physics classes, students investigate everything from planetary motion to energy transfer, asking bold questions about how our world—and the cosmos—works. Many of these same students are also members of our school’s first-ever Robotics Club, a passionate team of young innovators committed to solving real-world problems through engineering and design.
Together, these students are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Whether calculating trajectories for rockets in class or designing autonomous robots after school, they rely on a shared tool to bring their ideas to life: a 3D printer.
This project seeks funding to provide high-quality 3D printer filament in a variety of colors and materials. These supplies will allow students to fabricate durable robot parts, build working prototypes for engineering challenges, and explore how different materials behave under stress—bridging lessons from physics with hands-on experience in robotics.
Your support will not only power our Robotics Club but also enhance our STEM curriculum by connecting classroom learning with practical, future-focused skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and design innovation.
