Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m reaching out on behalf of a group of bright, eager 7th-grade students at a Title I school where many of our families face financial hardships. Despite the challenges they experience outside the classroom, our students show up each day ready to learn, grow, and chase their dreams.
This year, we’re striving to strengthen our math program, and a key component of that is ensuring every student has access to a calculator.
Calculators are not just classroom tools—they’re confidence-builders, helping students tackle more complex problems, explore real-world applications, and stay engaged in their learning.
