Emotional Learning Through Movement Breaks and Team Building

Help me give my students fidget toys to help them utilize strategies to be calm and have movement breaks.

My Project

Education is changing every day. As teachers, we are asked to teach every academic subject. As time has gone by, we have learned to teach that it is okay to have a variety of emotions throughout the school day. Some feelings might include being frustrated, furious, worried, or lonely. It is our goal as a teacher to let the students know that it is okay to have these feelings while helping them learn to use strategies so they can change their emotions. By utilizing the breathing ball, students will learn to practice slow breathing. By utilizing the fidget toys and magnetic blocks, students will be able to have movement breaks when they might be needed. My students will love getting their hands on all of the fidget toys to relieve the stress they have and continue their learning in a fun way!
