My Project

Students who are stressed or anxious have a difficult time focusing in school or completing requirements for success. Providing a simple sour or hard candy for an adolescent can re-set their thinking and provide a powerful use of mindfulness techniques and emotional grounding.

Anxiety can cause a child to spiral in thinking and behavior and something as simple as a sour candy can shift the brain's attention from fear, anxiety, and stress to focus on the sourness of a candy.

Small treats are also a great motivator for good behavior and to encourage participation. Another great tool to help regulate stress and anxiety are fidgets, and providing a few quiet fidgets for students helps their mind shift gears.
