This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been at my school for 11 years and we are very fortunate that no major emergencies have occurred. However, there is unfortunately always a chance that something could happen. We live in California, where earthquakes are possible. Sadly, an intruder is always a scary possible threat.

I wanted to prepare in the event that something does happen that requires emergency supplies.

This is one project that I hope gets funded, but hope I never have to use. The items that I requested are flashlights, first aid kits, extra bandages, disposable gloves, masks, and biohazard waste bags. I also requested some blankets for comfort and warmth. Finally, I have requested a bag to store everything in neatly and easily accessible for my students or me. It is also portable, in the event that supplies are needed in a different classroom or area of campus.
