My Students
My students are always aking me "Can we work in learning teams today?" My students enjoys working together in learning teams. Let's help my students get together and creatively increase their learning about the continents.
I teach a wonderful group of kindergarten students.
They are eager to learn and are very creative in their learning. Our school is a Title One school located in North Carolina. 95% of our students receive free/reduced breakfast and lunch. Many families work multiple jobs to make ends meet.
My Project
Learning about the earth's seven continents is an important lesson for kindergarteners. Kindergarteners are often curious about their surroundings. Through learning about the continents, they can expand their worldview and begin to question the world around them. Students will use their creativity and imagination to learn the continents. The globe and map will be used during cooperative learning to discuss animal habitats and what continent they live on. The poster cards and journals will be used to collaborate together to create their favorite continent and create things or animals that represent the continent. The continent activity chest will also be used to expose them to the cultural differences of countries within each continent. I am also requesting books, stapler, paper, writing paper, along with other supplies to make classbooks and collages about continents.
Learning includes having students engaged in their activities.
