This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I work with a lovely group of nonspeaking autism students and they love hands-on learning. These specific art items will allow my students to embrace their creativity within their classroom year-round. They will be able to express themselves through the arts within rotations. By increasing the variety of supplies we have, it amplifies the many different ways they can express themselves through art.
Embracing Art Year Around in the Classroom!
These art materials will give my students the ability to use other things to create works of art beside basic supplies that are used within the classroom. I love helping my students learn through fun and exciting ways. This often includes an art project to accompany a lesson. I have found that through art learning new things are more productive.
My students can be found using art as a calming technique. Having these mediums of art supplies will give them another outlet to their learning and creative side.
