This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My diverse learners are elite. We look, sound, and act very different from each other but all have a love of learning in common. We come from a public urban school and what we may lack in resources, we make up for in energy and enthusiasm.

Our students are 75% low income students, however, our students our 100% committed to making the world a better place.

I am amazed by them every day by what they are capable of. My learners are the future. They are doctors, scientists, athletes, engineers, teachers, leaders, and everything else you could possibly imagine!

My Project

The headphones will be used to support student use of technology in the classroom. All of our students use computers on a daily basis. Many of the educational programs that we access use audio devices to support learning. Without headphones, we are limiting our students learning.

These headphones will have a positive impact on all students' learning.

In addition to the previously mentioned reasons, low-level readers will have the ability to use the headphones to listen to text. This will allow these learners to have the best chance to succeed. We believe that all students deserve the best opportunity to learn. These headphones are a tool to give all kids a chance to maximize their learning!
