This project helps my students be able to get out of their desks and be able to find a spot on the floor. My students love the rug! The rug is a huge hit in the classroom and my students ask daily to sit on it! The fuzzy seat cushions allow them to branch out in the classroom and sit on the floor when they are working. \r\n\r\nWhen the big rug box came into the classroom they asked to sit on it before it was out of the box. My students helped me unroll and they sat on it to help flatten it. They got excited when they saw the seat cushions.\r\n\r\nMy next step is to bring lessons to the carpet so they can leave their desks more during the day besides just work time. I am excited to do small group lessons at the carpet as well. Every student will get a class of t-shirt that is signed by all of the students in their class to wear at graduation and have as a keepsake of their first year in school.\r\n\r\nNext year we hope to offer personalized attire in a school store as well as on the schools website for all students 4k-8th grade.
