This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school has about 300 students who study from Pre-K to 5th grade. Most of them are African American children and Hispanic children. Most of them come from low-income families. They are nice and respectful when they interact with other people. They smile at people when they meet people in the morning. Some of them are struggling in math and English, but they work very hard to overcome the challenges. It is my pleasure to be their teacher in the school this year.
My Project
Many 3rd-grade students are African American and Hispanic students who live in a low-income environment. They suffer from an economic disadvantage because they come from low-income families. They don't have computers and Internet access at home. About 40 students are in the 3rd-grade classes, but there are only 20 Chromebooks available for the 3rd-grade classes in the school. Half of the 40 students lose their online learning time because of the lack of Chromebooks. They need technology to support their learning. They could use the Chromebooks to complete Google Docs, Adobe drawing, and online reading and math assignments. They can select more resources on the Internet when they learn new subjects.
