My Project

My students are incredibly creative, resilient, and eager to learn, but they face significant obstacles due to their economic background. At our school, 50% of students are considered low-income. They rarely have access to high-tech, hands-on tools that allow them to explore their artistic and entrepreneurial potential. I am requesting a Cricut Machine Joy Xtra along with essential supplies (vinyl, weeding tools, cardstock) to bring a 'Makerspace' experience into our classroom.

Students will design and create high-quality, personalized items (stickers, shirts, cards) to sell, allowing them to raise money for their own classroom field trips and projects.

This teaches them the value of hard work and gives them a sense of ownership.

Using the Cricut software will introduce them to digital design and basic engineering concepts.

Seeing their digital designs turned into physical, professional-looking products will boost their confidence and artistic abilities.

By supporting this project, you are providing my students with a tool that bridges the opportunity gap and empowers them to create their own success.
