My Project
My elementary art students spend the year learning about a variety of artists and art concepts. For example, for a second grade unit on color, students learn about the inspiring work of the African American painter Alma Thomas. When my first graders learn about line, we learn about the beautiful work of Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky and how he was inspired by music.
I would like to support their learning throughout the year and inspire them by establishing an incredible art library!
These books will help the world of art and artists truly come alive for my students during my art lessons! They will also serve as essential resources for my older students to learn specific skills, such as how to draw portraits.
