My Students

I am a 4th grade teacher at an elementary school. Our school is diverse and we have a large population of ELL students. We are located in a rural area near the coast in Northern California.

My students are truly amazing.

I absolutely adore them. They enjoy using their creativity in class, and they are very motivated to learn. They look forward to participating in engaging hands-on activities that challenge them to make new discoveries. They look forward to Science every week.

My Project

We have been studying energy and these electronic circuits would be the perfect addition to what we have already been learning about. The students will be able to make over 100 different products. They will get to use their creativity and learn about how electronic circuits work. The students will be able to create alarms, photo sensors, AM radios, transistors, resistors, and more. Projects, such as these, foster a desire in the the students to learn more about the devices they use every day. Furthermore, it prompts the students' creativity to learn how these devices work, what makes them tick, and how to better understand there place in current society.
