Elderly Piano Seeks Retirement

My Students

My students live in a small rural town in Western Montana. They come from various backgrounds, but work together to enjoy learning! The neighborhood is very small, and of low income. Students struggle with family issues, and even making it to class can be a challenge. Our school is a safe place where they can thrive.

Students love exploring musical skills with different instruments, stories, songs, and dances.

These activities meet the National Standards for Music Education.

In the process of rebuilding the program, we have a lot of work to do to meet the needs of our kids. I love my students!

My Project

Our current piano, which is digital, has stopped functioning properly due to having been used for several years-we're talking the floppy disc age. As a music educator, the majority of my lessons require piano accompaniment, not only in the classroom but for performances as well. A new keyboard will allow our students grades K-12 to have the use of piano accompaniment for band and choir, general music, private lessons after school, and concerts. I would also like to use this digital piano to teach students songwriting, studio recording and production. Thank you for visiting our project and considering a donation!
