This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The incubator, eggs, and books about chicks will have a transformative impact on our students' learning. They will provide a hands-on experience that bridges classroom knowledge with real-world observation, enhancing their understanding of life cycles and biology. This project aims to cultivate curiosity, empathy, and responsibility, instilling valuable life skills. Our goal is to create a memorable and engaging learning opportunity that sparks a lasting interest in science and nature. Our students, who come from diverse backgrounds, are incredibly resilient and eager to learn. Despite facing challenges, they demonstrate remarkable creativity, compassion, and enthusiasm, making them truly special.

Our project holds particular significance for many of our ESL learners, whose families have farming backgrounds.

While now living in an inner city, this experience will connect them with their heritage, bridging the gap between their past and present environments. It will also provide a unique opportunity for them to share their knowledge and stories, enriching the learning experience for everyone involved.
