This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have twenty-five first graders who are eager to learn. They love to come to school and the school year requires several supplies that will be used. Our school is a Title I elementary school in the California Bay Area. Supplies are in constant need to be replenished and donations from families are limited.

Children thrive with hands-on learning.

All of our students love to learn and I make it my goal to help them absolutely love coming to school each and every day.

My Project

Students need tools around the classroom that will help them be successful with their academics. The desk nameplates will provide just that.

Effective desk nameplates provide students with the necessary tools to reference for math and writing.

The 120 chart on the nameplates will be used for students to recognize patterns with numbers on the chart, finding ten more, ten less, 1 more, and 1 less of a given number. The alphabet on the nameplates will help students with their penmanship and recognize letter formations. The nameplates also include information on shapes, colors, and comparing numbers. These nameplate would be a wonderful tool for students to use.
