Effective and Efficient Classroom

Help me give my students a safer classroom environment during face-to-face instruction. The air purifier will provide extra assurance that the air our students are breathing within the classroom is filtered and that they are protected.

My Students

We have 28 students from various backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures. Students in my class strive to build reasoning skills, critical thinking skills, logical thinking skills, and argumentative skills through a variety of activities. We focus on project based learning models and allow students to express there unique personalities through creative presentations of their work.

Our goal is to develop students into thinkers.

We do this in multiple ways including learning how to play chess, dominos, coding, and building classroom governments where students create their own rights and laws within their classroom. In general, we challenge students to think through complex concepts and provide real world solutions to everyday problems.

My Project

These items will promote the health and safety of students during face-to-face instruction throughout COVID restrictions. Items on this list will also provide learning opportunities and supplies for lessons and activities in social studies, reading, writing, math, and science. For example, the gavel will provide students with the opportunity to become a supreme court judge and run a classroom government (SS.5.20).

The air purifier will allow students to see the benefits of clear air and the impact of such air on their overall health and safety in their daily lives (PCE-5-1; SIC-5-1).

The remaining items will provide students with the necessary supplies and resources to complete learning tasks throughout the school day.
