Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are diverse, brilliant, hard-working, and simply adorable. Most of our students come from low-income families, and many have lived through traumatic life experiences. Almost all are from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, so they really appreciate and take good care of anything that is given to them. It melts my heart to see how much they appreciate the gift of a pencil or an eraser. Regardless of their many battles, our kids are resilient and eager to learn.

Our school has a high attendance rate.

Not only do our scholars enjoy coming to school, but they also give their very best effort every day. These scholars are so serious about success, that it's often difficult to get them to stop working, so we can have a little fun at the end of the day.

Many of our students have come from a place where life is frightening and unsafe. They want very much to succeed in school and to live better lives. I would love to give them the world, because I see a brighter future for our country in these students. They are bright, enthusiastic, articulate, and most importantly, they are kind, caring, tolerant and thoughtful.

My Project

Throughout my teaching experience, I’ve built a track record for establishing a scholarly culture and for producing excellent academic results in all students. I am known for turning even the toughest students around and changing the course of their educational careers for the better. I know in my heart that all children want to learn and that every child can succeed. I teach with high expectations and with a foundation of love. This year, I want to push my mission to the next level. I want to send a clear message to our family of schools and to our community that we take our education seriously. I want our students to display their pride of being hardworking scholars. My wish is to increase the radius of the paradigm shift I have begun in my classrooms. I want all students to understand that their educational endeavors are important and meaningful, because they are our most promising future. This is a generation of youth that will make great and positive changes for us all. They deserve to wear that scholarly pride for all to see in a T-shirt that they can earn through their hard work and accomplishments.
