My Students

I work in a Title I school with a large population of students who struggle with poverty. My students range from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. In the community I work in, there is a large population of Native American students. I thoroughly enjoy the mix of cultures and strive to promote cultural diversity in my classroom.

Besides coming from a wide variety of backgrounds, my students all differ in their academic abilities.

I try to make sure that my teaching style meets all of their needs, but finding resources to meet all their needs can be difficult.

My Project

I am requesting various devices that are connected with the Amazon Echo. The Echo will help us with many things in the classroom: fact check, defining words, mathematical calculations, turning on/off lights, setting timers, playing games, and more.

The buttons will allow students to "buzz in" in real time to game shows as a study tool!

My students love playing study games to prepare for quizzes or tests, so this will help add another tool to our repertoire.

We have a lot of transitions to various classes throughout the day, so any time saved is crucial to the learning of my students.
